^ Thanks for checking it out, bud… I've come to a similar conclusion, set up the suspension right, then throw away what you know about front engine cars and start over (and never lift off the throttle in a corner, ever). Branson should be a good place for R&D.

Quick update:

Sourced a D.A.S. bolt in roll bar, half-cage (Chris was kind enough to find a powder-coater that would do it this week on short notice). Does the job of harness bar, rollover protection, and chassis rigidity improvement without permanently making it a track-only car. Should be back in a couple of days and I'll install it, followed by race harness, etc. (also got a small fire extinguisher) and picked up a aluminum floor board and pedal set-up for added grip (stock pedals are small and slippery). Final touch is to replace one last seeping high pressure power steering hose b4 next week and I'll point her south to BZF.

You did not want to go with swede with double stitch finish on the roll bar?  Should have been easy enough to outsource in a week

All kidding aside, it should be awesome.  Added stability, rigidity and safety without being intrusive.  Aluminum floor pan and pedal set will be dope!  Always liked the purpose built look of that combo.

Finished the install of the roll bar/cage last night… fought with it more than anticipated, but it's in. Today the plan is to install the harness (need to find attachment points for the lap belt, without welding I hope). Then one last power steering line (leaky) and I should be ready for BZF.

Pedals and floor pan:

^ Thanks guys…

The leaking power steering line was argumentative, had to torch it loose… got lucky that I didn't screw something up and have to wait for parts:

Got the fitting out, buggered it up:

Put it back together with a new high pressure line, bled the system and test drove:

Finished the harness install, made brackets to hold the lap belt loops, a race seat would allow for better shoulder belt placement, but the stock seats are comfortable and I'd like to leave them in the car, fairly comfy with the harness on + power seats equal power harness adjustment… you want it tighter, just move the seat ahead and the squeeze is on.

Nice job with everything. I like the pedal upgrade. The fire extinguisher mount is cool.

Now your going to need a 5 year old kid to crawl in back to clean your rear window...they suck at windows though.
